Piaro’s products are focused on elegant, analog experiences that are augmented (but never defined) by digital functionality. At Piaro, I led the product vision, IoT systems architecture and product roadmap as the VP of Product Engineering, Smart Home.

Our vision is to consolidate smart home technology into one connected space where the technology/data intelligence mirrors the natural rhythm of the home and the people who live in it for a more enriched life at home.
Guiding Principles
The Internet of Your Things: It’s not enough to have a smart home if you have to sacrifice comfort for connection. We’re designing objects you’ll want to interact with. The fact that they are smart objects is a bonus. Instead of jamming an experience around a piece of technology, we design an experience and hide technology within it.
Tactility: Your things need to feel right. We dial up the feeling in everything we design. Our products are a thrill to touch.
Essentiality: Good product design is tactically reductive. We strip away every unnecessary element, to leave you with the best, purest experience.
Tradition Over Technology: The technology within our products will always work, but it won’t ever feel like the point. A knob should always feel like a knob, never like a computer. And if the internet’s down, your light switch still needs to work.
